Associate
Ryan Class is an associate based in Dynamis’s Boston office whose practice focuses on complex financial litigation, government and internal investigations, and other high-stakes engagements.
Prior to joining Dynamis LLP, Ryan was an associate in the Boston office of a global law firm, where he represented major banks and other corporate clients in civil litigation, arbitration, and government investigations. Ryan’s experience includes defending a major commercial bank against claims brought under the False Claims Act, representing trustees of residential mortgage-backed securities in litigation and trust instruction proceedings before the New York Supreme Court’s Commercial Division, and advising clients facing investigations by the Federal Trade Commission and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Ryan also represented one of the world’s largest solar panel manufacturers and its North American subsidiary in contract and warranty disputes in numerous federal and state courts.
Ryan began his legal career as a law clerk to the judges of the Connecticut Superior Court’s Complex Litigation Docket. Before attending law school, Ryan worked as a financial analyst for a major automotive lender.
Ryan earned his J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where he served as Professional Articles Editor for the Review of Banking & Financial Law. Ryan received his undergraduate education from Wake Forest University and also holds a Master of Science in business management from Wake Forest University School of Business.

Represented commercial bank in responding to and implementing policies to comply with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Consent Order.
Represented securitization trustee in related cases arising from disputes over interpretation of trust governing documents and treatment of underlying trust collateral.
Represented investment bank in responding to third-party subpoenas seeking information concerning domestic and cross-border M&A advisory engagements.
Represented individual defendants in Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement proceedings premised on status of digital assets as securities under the Howey framework.
Represented consumer and business data services provider in responding to investigatory demands issued by the Federal Trade Commission and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Represented healthcare data services provider in litigation involving claims of software trade secret misappropriation and breach of contract.
Represented municipality in appellate proceedings arising from construction of minor-league baseball stadium.
Represented metropolitan police department in reviewing and evaluating civilian and internal complaints filed against law enforcement officers.
