Trevor Jones is a seasoned and energetic litigator, strategic advisor, and former federal prosecutor who helps businesses, executives, and individuals navigate complex legal challenges, government investigations, and high-stakes disputes. Drawing on seven years of federal prosecutorial experience—including years as an Economic Crimes Section Chief at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida—Trevor combines strong courtroom advocacy with practical business judgment to deliver solutions tailored to each client's needs. He has extensive experience with complex financial crimes, including fraud schemes and cryptocurrency-related enforcement matters. Trevor’s prosecutorial career is complemented by his earlier private practice experience in commercial disputes, product liability, and mass-tort litigation, and four years of experience clerking for federal and state judges at the trial and appellate levels.

As a federal prosecutor and supervisor, Trevor investigated and prosecuted a wide variety of federal crimes—specializing in fraud and financial crimes—and managed and coordinated the caseload of a team of federal prosecutors, including the review and approval of charges, warrants, and other legal process. He also served as a trusted advisor to federal and local law enforcement partners on litigation strategy, charging decisions, and prosecutions.
Before his tenure as a federal prosecutor, Trevor focused his practice on commercial disputes. product liability, and mass-tort litigation. As a commercial litigator at Akerman LLP, a nationally recognized firm, he defended international corporations in multi-district product liability and mass-tort litigation, as well as federal diversity actions. He was also a litigator at a prestigious municipal defense firm, where he prosecuted and defended federal and state court cases on behalf of governmental entities, including matters involving constitutional claims and commercial disputes.
Trevor began his legal career gaining insight into the state and federal judicial system as a judicial law clerk. During his time with the courts, Trevor was exposed to all aspects of civil and criminal litigation, gaining insight into the judicial system that he continues to draw on when formulating case strategy, analyzing legal issues, and crafting arguments for clients.
Trevor is an active community member and has served in multiple leadership roles for the Federal Bar Association, including on the Board of the National Judiciary Division, a Co-Chair and founder of its Federal Judicial Law Clerks Committee, and President of the Broward County Chapter. He has also served as the Chair of a Florida Bar Grievance Committee.

Trevor's notable matters include:
Prosecuted recording artist Sean Kingston (Kisean Anderson) and his mother, Janice Turner, on federal wire fraud charges arising from a scheme to defraud sellers of luxury vehicles, jewelry, and other high-end goods, securing convictions on all counts at trial and prison sentences for both defendants;
Successfully prosecuted CEO of cryptocurrency exchange for willfully failing to establish an anti-money-laundering program in violation of the Bank Secrecy Act;
Led expansive COVID-19 relief fraud investigation involving Broward Sheriff's Office deputies and other law enforcement personnel who fraudulently obtained Paycheck Protection Program loans, resulting in over 25 convictions via trial and plea;
Successfully prosecuted multiple multi-million-dollar Ponzi and corporate embezzlement schemes; and
Defended international corporation in multi-district product liability and mass-tort litigation arising from medical-device product liability claims.
