Dynamis LLP is a litigation firm. We defend individuals and companies in criminal prosecutions and government investigations, and we litigate complex civil disputes on both sides of the "v." Our matters typically involve tens of millions of dollars, a company's future, or a client's liberty.
We win motions that end cases before trial. We try the cases that need trying. And when the right answer is a resolution, we negotiate it from strength, because the other side knows we are ready to go to verdict.
The firm was founded in 2023 by former federal prosecutor Eric Rosen and civil litigator Constantine Economides. It now has 20 lawyers in Boston, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and New Jersey, and is ranked by Chambers USA.
Our founding
In July 2023, Eric Rosen and Constantine Economides left a small boutique firm to build a different kind of firm.
Rosen had served as an Assistant United States Attorney in Boston, where he led the Operation Varsity Blues prosecution: one of the largest white-collar cases in U.S. history, built in part on court-authorized wiretaps. Economides had spent his career in complex civil litigation, including the effort that recovered more than $11 billion for victims of Bernard Madoff's Ponzi scheme and litigation arising from the collapse of Theranos.
They started with five people and one principle: the lawyers a client hires should be the lawyers who do the work.
The firm grew from there. In 2024, Robert Frenchman, co-founder of Mukasey Frenchman and the lawyer who won the acquittal of UBS trader Andre Flotron, joined as a partner. Michael Homer, a former federal prosecutor who has served as lead counsel in more than a dozen federal trials, was appointed to the District of Massachusetts CJA Panel in 2025. After that, Jamie Solano, Brooke Watson and Trevor Jones joined. Today the firm's bench includes five former federal prosecutors.
How we practice
We know how the government builds a case because we built them.
Former federal prosecutors lead our white-collar practice. We have presented cases to grand juries, obtained and litigated wiretaps, worked alongside FBI, SEC, and IRS agents, and tried cases to verdict for the United States. That experience tells us where a prosecution is weak, often before the government sees it.
Some of our best results never reach a courtroom. An investigation closes. A charge is never filed. A target becomes a witness. Time matters in these cases. We go to trial.
Most litigation settles. The terms depend on whether the other side believes you will try the case. Dynamis lawyers have tried cases in federal and state court, for the government and against it. We have beaten the SEC at trial. We have won jury verdicts for commercial clients. Every matter we take is staffed and prepared as if it will be tried, because that preparation is what produces the best settlement when settlement is the right call.
We sit on either side of the "v."
We are not a plaintiffs' firm or a defense firm. We represent defendants in criminal and civil cases, and we represent plaintiffs, including whistleblowers, investors, and companies harmed by fraud. We have sued a major cryptocurrency exchange and defended executives of a bankrupt one. Working both sides makes us better at each: we know how the other side thinks because we have been the other side.
We stay small on purpose.
Dynamis is a boutique by design. Senior lawyers stay on the matter from intake through resolution. There are no layers between the client and the lawyer making decisions, and no hand-offs to lawyers who have never met the file. The structure lets us move fast when facts change, and in government investigations and emergency litigation, facts change daily.
Our associates stand up in court.

We build our own tools.
We use data as advocacy. In 2026 we launched the Dynamis Federal Sentencing Explorer, which organizes twelve years of U.S. Sentencing Commission data (805,875 cases) by offense, guideline level, criminal history, and district. We built it because sentencing arguments should rest on how judges actually sentence, not on anecdote. Our analysis of what the data shows explains how to use it.

Cryptocurrency and Blockchain. SEC and DOJ enforcement defense, investor and founder disputes, exchange litigation, and class actions involving digital assets.
Business Disputes and Commercial Litigation. Partnership and LLC control fights, breach of contract, trade secrets, fiduciary duty, civil RICO, and fraud claims in state and federal courts nationwide, including the Delaware Court of Chancery.
Financial Services and Securities. Private securities fraud litigation and government-facing securities matters.

Our record
- Indictment dismissed for all seven defendants one week before trial. In the $114 million "Atlas Trading" securities fraud prosecution in the Southern District of Texas, Dynamis used the Supreme Court's decision in Ciminelli v. United States to obtain dismissal of the indictment for every defendant. Read more.
- Complete trial victory against the SEC. A financial services professional charged with securities fraud in an alleged pump-and-dump. We tried the case and won on every claim.
- $70 million judgment. Secured in California state court for a crypto company founder against former partners who tried to misappropriate company assets, along with dismissal with prejudice of related claims filed against our client in the Northern District of California.
- Loss amount cut from $1.2 million to $21,000. In United States v. Gallagher (S.D.N.Y.), we persuaded prosecutors to dismiss nearly every count. Our client received a non-incarceration sentence. See our financial services and securities practice.
- FBI investigation closed with no charges. A physician's prior counsel had recommended a guilty plea. Dynamis persuaded the DOJ to close its investigation.
- Pre-indictment dismissal of all charges. In 2026, we secured dismissal of criminal charges that an opposing party had initiated against our client during pending federal civil litigation. Read more.
- Class action stayed. For the former CFO of Celsius Network, we obtained a stay of a putative securities class action pending related criminal and regulatory proceedings.
- $2.9 million jury verdict. After a four-day trial in Florida state court, for an e-retail company against a global freight carrier.

Our name
Dynamis is Greek for power, capability, and possibility. The name describes what we bring to a case: the force to press a client's position, the skill to execute, and the judgment to see outcomes others miss.
